As some of you may or may not be aware of, New York has been getting hammered with the combination of three different storms the past week. The storms alternate between rain, and warm weather, which in turn causes flooding. Trees are down everywhere because of the heavy, wet snow, and that results in power outages. We have been fortunate not to have ice problems yet, but I won't jinx myself.

I have been personally shoveling driveways for a few people who need it.

Also, off-topic, I am hopefully going to get my costume together this weekend.

So that's what I've been doing, and why I haven't been posting as often. I HAVE been reading the posts daily, though, so I am up to date on the news.

I'll give a little personal info here. My Great-uncle lived in upstate New York all of his life, and every winter he shoveled the walks in his neighborhood, no matter how old he got.
He eventually died of a heart attack shoveling the walk of a little old lady a few doors down from him.

We got hit hard, and its time for me to go out and help those who need it most. We are expecting another storm this weekend until sunday...god be with us. I dont know if the trees can take anymore. If we lose power again like we did a few years ago, Im going to go door to door and check on people to make sure they are ok. Out where I live, most people(including myself until now) beleive that they should only help themselves. Maybe I will inspire a few people with my actions, and make the whole thing worthwhile
