PostSubject: RLSH Non-Profit Organization Initiative   Mon Mar 08, 2010 10:15 am

I was watching a video by a so called super villain called Swordkane on youtube and I couldn't help, but have to agree with him when he said that we shouldn't call ourselves superheroes, until we were ready and willing to go out there and take a bullet to save lives. I propose that we reorganize the RLSH movement to be more like the Guardian Angels organizations and that we create chapters of local superheroes in every town and every city and we actually go on patrols instead of talking about it on here and every once in a while when there is a holiday or special events. we go on patrols so the news organizations could tape us doing charity work or we tape it to post on youtube We can create a schedule and go on patrols in shifts and in the areas that really need patrolling , not in the safe neighborhoods. That's not really patrolling in my opinion. We can still do charities and other volunteer work I am all for that, but the real reason we all wanted to become rlsh is to actually fight crime and not just bs about it on here and in our "clubs." I finally propose that we pool all of our money and resources to create a non-profit real life super heroe organization to bring this into fruition.

Everything you've said has and is being done. We're not one collective movement, but a sub-culture. Individuals and small groups do the things you've already mentioned.

This is a forum, we meet here to share ideas, talk things over, and get advice. This sometimes gives the impression we are a cohesive organization, but we're far from it. We're nothing like the Civil Rights Movement and it would take someone extraordinary like a superhero equivalent of Martin Luther King, to ever bring about the kind of unity you're thinking of.

Well then let's become a movement like the Civil Right Movement. We have to start somewhere. Let's have a convention where we can all get together and meet and come to some kind of a consensus on how we are going to do this. Let make this happen!

Each person does it their own way Dr. Tomorrow. And some people like to use the term Real Life Superhero. Just because some do not like the term, I do not think it is fair to tell others that they should not use it.

And not all of us actively patrol, but take part in other ways, like humanitarian efforts or service projects, which are equally legit.
