| What do you guys think is the best Hero movie created so far?
I think the second Punisher movie is the best. The Punisher: War Zone. It is a bad ass movie. _________________ When I am the last one, I will do what needs to be done to finish the job.

| My favorite is Watchmen. I loved the comics when they came out and then enjoyed the graphic novel and now I just absolutely love the movie. It was done right to a point. It really made the superheroes more human. |

| My Top 5 - in no order other then Batman always being #1 for me
1. Anything Batman - except for Clooney. 2. Mystery Men 3. The Punisher - original one with Dolph Lundgren - I just liked it 4. Watchmen 5. Black Mask
This was a tough pick, but I'm trying to think of the movies that I've gone back to over the years for enjoyment - not just what I think is awesome right at the moment. |

| You guys are thinking too recent. Haha. Here's a few of the gold oldies I like.
1) Black Mask (Jet Li is sinister...) 2) Blank Man (Damon Wayans is hilarious...and it's mostly believable) 3) Meteor Man 4) Spawn (If you consider him a hero) 5) Blade
For my more recent favorites...
1) Both Batman 2) Iron Man 3) The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen 4) X-Men (The First One) 5) Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back (If you count it as Super Hero) |

| I have to admit, I'm not a big fan of the Punisher movies. It's not the violence - I know that's what Castle's modus operandi is - but the production values, especially on the last one, were just sub-par. At least in my opinion.
Between Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, I'm torn. Batman Begins was perhaps the best superhero movie ever made, when it was released. The Dark Knight, however, is a better movie, overall. It deals with deeper issues and more struggles for the protagonist, as well as an interesting range between the two main villains. So yeah, the movie was better, but it didn't have the feel of a superhero movie. Much like Watchmen, it was more a movie about human nature, and less about heroic nature (which, you must admit, seems to work at counter logic to regular human nature).
One caveat, of course. The Incredibles. That was an amazing superhero film, with a slew of wholesome messages, topped off with a few hard lessons.
Ugh. I'm a huge Superman fan... maybe one of these days we'll actually have a Superman movie as good as the last two Batman films. |

| I don't really care for Superman. He was too much of a God-Modder. Seriously, the guy only had one weakness...Kryptonite. What were the odds that some of the fragments of his irradiated planet actually made it to his new homeworld? And even better, what are the odds that some random guy found a piece, randomly held it up in self defense, and learned it's power? And not to mention the fact that the only advantage Lex had against Superman actually killed him later on due to radiation poisoning.
I also found it ridiculous that Superman could be hit with a car, catch a falling airplane, and be smashed by a crashing building...yet...if you hit him in the back with a stool, he'd fall over in pain. The Big Bang Theory made a good point about catching Lois Lane, too. Superman is my least favorite, I have to say...though, I wouldn't mind it either if they actually made a GOOD release for the title.
Oh, damn, I forgot to add Shaft to my list.
OH!!! And Steel with Shaq!!! Haha... |

| See, for me, Superman isn't about the powers, but about the willingness to do the right thing because it's right. And sure, you might say "He's got those powers, so he has nothing to lose", but there have numerous times when his powers were either gone, limited, or otherwise useless, and he still did everything he could to do right.
Kinda like the folks in the Real Life Superhero movement. |

| I can relate to that line of thinking also. I just don't like superheroes with 1...and only 1 weakness. It's not easy to connect with. I am human, with many weaknesses...including insecurity, hesitation, and bullets. I feel that Batman is better suited because, let's face it....bullets hurt him too. |

| Oh, definitely. Batman and Superman are my two favorite comic book heroes, largely because they represent such opposites - in power, in philosophy, in method - striving for the same goal. It's an interesting dichotomy, and one that DC has exploited a hundred times in their stories.
Ooh. Superhero movies.... The Matrix, and to a lesser degree, Reloaded and Revolutions. That is, after all, what the Wachowskis were shooting for with the story of Neo - a new superhero myth. |

| I can see Neo being a superhero. Though, something about this world being a big computer game seems to not please me. Haha. |

| While comparing superhero movies is akin to rating the colours, textures and consistency of poo, I do have some faves, in order.
1. The Incredibles 2. Superman 2 3. Justice League: The New Frontier _________________ I've experiments to run. There is research to be done. On the people who are still alive. | In not particular order:
Batman Begins Dark Knight Incredibles
I will say one thing about the incredibles, though. I really saw it as an allegorical exploration of the norms of mediocrity in our society. It just used superheroes as a vehicle for that exploration, IMO. Then again, I was the kid who was told he'd get along better with people if he pretended to be less intelligent, so I kind of have a chip on my shoulder about that. |
