| For those of you folks who are anime and manga fans, and don't like traditional masks, here's something you may want to check out. From Wikipedia: Animegao: A doller is a cosplayer who performs a variant of kigurumi cosplay. The face is fully covered with a mask, usually meant to look like a human cartoon character, and the costume of the character is worn. In Japan most cosplayers refer to this style as (アニメ顔 - Animegao, or "Anime Face"). It is still a very minor part of the cosplay scene in Japan, though it was around 2005 when it began attracting attention in other countries, including the United States[1], Canada[2], and European countries. (Full link here- Wiki-Animegao ) The downsides I can see , is that it might reduce peripheral vision, and it'd be difficult to speak throught the mask, but I'm certain you folks are resourceful enough to fix these possible problems. The upside is that kids love superheros and cartoon characters, so if you literally looked like a cartoon character, it might help bring attention to any community service or other cause you're involved in. I didn't have much success in finding sites that make the masks, but I found a five part tutorial on Youtube on how to make your own. Part One Part Two Part Three Part Four Part Five |

| Oh yeah! I've seen these! The two creepy little girls in the first season of Durham County wear them! They literally make you look like a anime character!
Are they Hard to see out of? they look it.
If not the most practical thing, they are *&^%ing cool and creepy as Hell.
I'd imagine they work better for chicks, (As the video with the chick in the bikini demonstrates) but yeah I like the idea.
The big problem I could see is just like any mask or cowl. you get in a scuffle, somebody cranks it, you're blind. But for public apperence & charity & such they are Unbelieveably cool. |

| If it's a beautiful female cosplayer, I'd rather see them without such mask |

| I'll say something else. if the girl making them in the youtube video can master it well enough to produce them on a regular basis she'll make a fortune. The other site is back ordered it looks like.
...backordered for $500 dollar masks! |

It's actually not that surprising. AWA is coming up in September, and some people go all out for their costumes. |

Unless said maks or cowl is actually a snug fitting helmet... just something im working on for fun but if it works it may be a usefull item for those that wear masks. As for these masks, completely awesome! and agreed on the creepieness. |
