Skull: I plan on getting some armor soon. As far as training, I have my own style of fighting. Very quick, and VERY effective.

Razorhawk: I agree with this but sparrows right

Sparrow: I agree and will come up with a release on mine, as well as waterproofing it Smile

If you're going to be participating in legal crimefighting, you'll need to train professionally.

I understand. I also have faith in my battle-bred fighting skills.
Cool

Don't get cocky. Doesn't matter how good you are, think too much of yourself and you'll end up getting your ass handed to you.

As for the uniform- the logical part of my brain wants to remind you to value function over form, i.e. it doesn't matter how good you look if you're dead. Your focus should be on how protective it is, how easily you can move/fight in it, ect., and NOT how cool it looks.

The rest of my brain says this:

I just usually run around thinking really hard "I am a tree, I AM a tree" and that usually works for me.

Wow Sparrow That's really cool though I wouldn't suggest wearing it
except as like a dress uniform

it's still cool

In my introduction, I let you know that I was a "plain clothes" minimalist type because I need to be able to change at any moment. So, my "plain clothes" are usually unassuming and good for dark places. Something like the following picture is sufficient if I plan on throwing on the mask, though, as usually that means high-level athletic activity will be involved:

If I were to have a cool superhero uniform, though, I'd probably use protective tactical gear like Tothian.

Well a quick release cape can be a cool thing. It can be attached with snaps or velcro. Will pull off easily. I have had some suits where the cape is directly attached to the suit and cannot come off, like SuperHeros dress metallic suit. But he uses it only for dress and special occasions.

Another request I have had from people is to make the cape fireproof, not to mention waterproof. So they can be a form of protection too. I will be wearing a half cape with my dress uniform, but that uniform is not meant for fighting in.

I think the only reason I would want a cape on my street suit would be if it could be fireproof, bulletproof, and fold out into a kind of hangglider so I could "fly" for short distances. The technology isn't there though.

I was thinking putting a set of magnets in the shoulders so the cape just pulls off if needed. Also, I WOULD have body armor on top of it, or integrate it into the costume itself.

Sparrow: I just finished designing the beta version of the mask. Heres a pic:

I have heard mixed things about armor materials....what suggestions to you have for type of armor? I have heard to use lacrosse chest guards, soccer gloves and shin guards...Etc.

What do you guys think would work best?

(I live in a rural community surrounded by forests, if that helps)

Black and white is always classy if you ask me:

I did that for my brother. Yes, it is just a reworking of Obsidion Frost's uniform idea. No, I don't have an issue with this.

Yeah that's what I'm looking into for myself. As much fun as I have designing elaborate comic inspired outfits for others, my own taste in uniforms is more on the functionalistic side. Anyways, I rather like the appearence of it.

Same here, the whole colour scheme is really awesome. Do you ride a motorcycle or anything like that?

No, not my own- can't afford it. Saving up, though. My friend/neighbor/cousin used to have one which I would borrow (or steal) at every available situation, but he sold it a while ago Sad

Actually Polarman, if a mask like that is made from spandex, it distorts the voice very little. Its not like trying to talk through a ski mask. That will muffle your words much more than spandex will.

I agree with Razorhawk.

And the motorcycle outfit is awesome looking.
