There are cheaper ones, but I really like the emotiv EPOC's ability to read facial cues as well as the mental controls. It would be handy to confirm that you do NOT want your powered armor fist to rip off your own face just because you happened to think about it...

Do Case
Case HandInFace = .T.
OMG = .T.
Case FaceE = "D:"
GTFOHand = .T.
Endcase

If OMG .and. GTFOHand
ArmPos= 0,0,0
Endif

Interesting indeed. It gives me ideas for something to put into a helmet on one of my armored suit designs. Thanks for the idea!

It's cool, but it would need to be hooked up to multiple items, and that could be a killer for battery life, if you were using it for something like a car.

my only thought on this is that it would be cool to have a helmet with a visor that is also a screen and have this inside the helmet, so you could look at things on the screen (internet or whatever) and control it with your mind.

then again im skeptical about what you can actually do with this thing or how accurate it is.

There are already wheelchair controls that use it, and it IS a video game controller, so I imagine the response time and precision have to be sufficient for those purposes.

From what I understand it requires a great deal of practice to use, but once a user has developed the proper powers of focus it is very reliable. I've also been looking into myoelectric sensors.
