| Hi there, fellow adventurers. Recently, I learned that another RLSH is using the same alias as myself. Not wanting to cause any kind of friction, I am changing my handle. My focus is mainly on avenging (or, when possible, preventing) crimes against the environment as well as against human beings. Anyway! If anybody out there has any suggestions for coming up with a new name, I'd be most appreciative. Peace to all! |

| How about THE EPIPHANY (look it up for a good definition) |

| Epiphany is definitely a good place to start, Crossfire! Hmmm. I kind of want to incorporate naturalism into my name somehow. |

| Some of the ideas I gave another RLSH that I thought might be good for you plus new ones.
Prospective, Sententius, The Hope, Infinitio, Futureman, Eternus, Aeonis, The Shaper, The Outlooker, Eureka, The Thinker, Manas, Hivemind, Celestius, Inductor, Deux Ex Machina, Mindflash, Outlooker.
Just throwing them out. I hope that was maybe helpful. Haha.
Welcome to the forum, by the way. (^^) _________________ "Some moistened bink tossing out swords is no basis for a system of Government." - Superhero "Reason alone does not justify an action." - ! "Whispers are great weapons." - Razorhawk "This has become a rather silly thread." - Zetaman

| Since you list yourself as Idea Man and strong thoughts about protecting people and the environment what about Visionary? I'm not sure if it's already taken but it implies someone with a contemplative side to them. As for avenging, I'd go with prevention. RLSH are not really about vengeance but they definitely believe in protecting people and their environment. |

| Two alternative names I had in mind before I decided on Idea Man were Brainstorm and The Think Tank. Brainstorm has a nature vibe to it. _________________ "Three assholes, laying in to one guy while everyone else watches? And you wanna know what's wrong with me? | Oh crap...
At first I thought I was responding to the original "Idea Man", thinking he had a new avatar, but then I checked again and saw that you were the one who that was.
Anyway, as I jokingly mentioned somewhere in another thread on this forum some weeks ago, I found it ironic that someone calling themselves "IdeaMan" couldn't come up with his own name.
In all seriousness though, don't let your name define you, because understand that regardless of what you call yourself, you are going to define what it means to be whatever name you choose to use, through all that you do. |

| This is true Tothian but he should still change his name, after all we wouldn't want two Tothians running around now would we? (No, no we wouldn't)
As for thoughts, "Brainstorm" sounds good. But it's up to you as the name should mean something to you, even if it don't make a lick of sense to the rest of us

| Minuteman, Despite your way of presenting that comment in jest, you are correct and that's why I copyrighted my name a few years ago.
Idea Man (the original one), The name "Tothian" was meant to sound Medieval Warriorish, or kinda like a Jedi Knight. But the idea of it is that I define what it means to be Tothian through everything I do, rather than the name defining me. |

| Tothian - Ah, I see. The way you explained the origin of the name before didn't make as much sense. That is a little more clear.
Atavistik - Thanks. Have you ever explained what your name means? _________________ "Three assholes, laying in to one guy while everyone else watches? And you wanna know what's wrong with me? Yeah, I'd rather die... so bring it on!" - Kick Ass

| I'm not like my parents. as to why I chose the name...... Hunter was taken and my other idea was...... a little controversial to me(not gonna say it 'cause someone has since assumed that name , just a personal opinion, no slight meant, k?) anyways, I don't feel "human" per-se, and wouldn't describe myself as "more than". more of a throw-back. I kind of feel we need a sort of social atavism to emerge too, I guess. more chivalry, less "Look at me" |

| Atavistik, sorry, pal. And actually there was someone on myspace who changed the name to Hunter after I did, but he's long since evaporated. addendum: Wouldn't Hunter be a terribly ironic name for someone who's trying to stop poachers and all that anyway?
Mr. Jack, hivemind was actually my joke superhero name awhile ago because I would constantly say things in unison with people completely on accident, and we would always say hivemind after something like that.... No real point to that story but whatever.

| Haha. The story was indeed funny. Shows how a name can indeed arise out of coincidence. Tothian swears that there are a group of us that are the same person, but I know better. | The Natural
I like this one because the word "natural" has many meanings:
based on an inherent sense of right and wrong [natural justice]
a : one having natural skills, talents, or abilities b : something that is likely to become an immediate success c : one that is obviously suitable for a specific purpose
being in accordance with or determined by nature
of or relating to nature as an object of study and research
possessing or exhibiting the higher qualities (as kindliness and affection) of human nature [a noble…brother…ever most kind and natural — Shakespeare]
having a specified character by nature [a natural athlete]
having a physical or real existence as contrasted with one that is spiritual, intellectual, or fictitious [a corporation is a legal but not a natural person]
closely resembling an original : true to nature
of an off-white or beige color _________________ "Three assholes, laying in to one guy while everyone else watches? And you wanna know what's wrong with me? Yeah, I'd rather die... so bring it on!" - Kick Ass
