Im not entirely sure when, but an 8.8 just hit Chile. So far there have been two aftershocks over there. This is causing Tsunami warnings in Hawaii as well, and some family of mine is being possibly evacuated. It looks pretty bad and apparently it is alot worse then the one in Haitti.

Im hoping that our gathered info from this tread can help us understand the situation just a bit more.

Good Lord, first Haiti, then Okinawa yesterday, now Chile? How the heck am I supposed to keep up with the comics?

Is this a normal amount of natural disasters in such a short period of time, or is the world ending?

I also feel that this is a bit strange. I wasnt even aware that something happened in Japan. The earths plates are really trippin balls right now!

I've been feeling them more and more frequently in cali as well.

Chile was supposed to be one of the worst since 1900.

Well, im half chilean, i live near Chile, and i have family there, so im pretty much freaked out. Chile has like 1000 volcanoes on their territory, and a lot of them are active. The earthquake started the day before yesterday early in the morning, and by now entire cities are detroyed and the president had to send the military to control loots and stuff.
