 | Subject: Costume help please?? Mon Mar 08, 2010 9:43 am | |
| Hey everyone I'm new to the site, I've gone through tons of concepts for my costume and have come to a conclusion of what i want. I was wondering if anyone could suggest any ways of making this costume. What fabrics? What could be added in terms of protection? Opinions? Comments? Any help is appreciated. I do know how to sew (though I'm not to good). http://s232.photobucket.com/albums/ee293/donaldthe3rd/?action=view¤t=9-3.jpg |

| This looks like you designed it to be streamlined built for freedom of movement, so i would recommend that you get an undercover bullet proof vest, as some are less bulky and may allow more movement... For gloves, i would recommend these, or any like them --> http://www.polimil.co.uk/acatalog/Hatch_-_Reactor_RHK.html I would speak to Jack, about the mask or maybe Z, Z can be found on myspace and Jack.... well, everywhere else lol, including this Forum, The actual outfit, I would proabley speak to jack about what materials to use, im no good in that area lol, Im not too sure about the fabric/belt, I dont understand how that sort of fabric/belt would hold up a pouch that has a number of items in it, unless you have a belt underneath the fabric and clip it onto that. If you are the crime-fighting type who goes out at night, then I would suggest longer sleeves depending on how cold it is, probabley have two versions, one with short sleeves and one with long so you can chooses which to wear befor a patrol.. Apart from that, I like the look of your outfit, looks brill |

| Renegade, may I ask a question?
What software or website did you use to design that uniform? I'm looking to do something similar myself. |

| Thanks Vague! I'll definately look into it and try and get a hold of them:) and I used Heromachine. There are different versions of heromachine; like zombie mode, rock star mode, real life mode, classic edition, heromachine 2.5, and pin-up edition. I recommend Heromachine 3 Alpha. You don't have to download anything its pretty much just a game. You can make up whatever fantasy or reality character you can think up of! heres the link: http://www.heromachine.com/ |

| Thank you very much Renegade, that’s a big help.
I also like your uniform design; I forgot to mention that in my earlier post. It sort of reminds me of Deadpool from the Marvel Universe. It's a very good look, and the colour scheme is very invocative. |

| Looks good, although I have never been a big fan of lines being the only color change on a suit. I get a lot of requests like that though. One of these days I am going to have to buy a screen printing press so I can do designs like that. |

| I dont do any sewing I just throw together an old jumpsuit and a vest with my mask My touqe gloves and boot designs depend on the time of year Winter I wear insulated Rubber Steel toe boots Spring I wear rubber Steel toe boots summer I go with either the Rubber Boots if its raining or flooded or the leather steel toe biker boots The gloves are bigger in the winter and spring than the ones I wear in the summer same with the touqe with the pull over that I wear |

| !- if it's like that that... then I get to be "@*"...... I kinda agree with Raz, lines don't do it for me. I like logos, I like tri-color and I like having functional places to put things. I don't know, maybe it's just me...... but I can't help bit think about those campy one shot villains from the 70's when I see costumes like this (basic one color broken by lines or boots/gloves being the only other color) what's the outfit symbolize? what image are you trying to invoke when people first see you? like I said, probly just me.... *note; this is in no way intende as rude or anything like that. just offering my point of view, hope it's helpful |

| Same here Polarman, I suck mucho testicos at sewing. As for a symbol, I'm really not trying to invoke anything too much. I want to stand for something yes. I do like complex and interesting uniforms, but also feel more so for the simple costumes. I think its kinda bad-ass. Still variations can be made:P |

| I'd lose the Sash (except on your dress uniform) as it's just something for someone to grab a hold of. Is this the same Renagade with the Blue & black Gimmick? |
