I was looking at these hoods today but I want something that would just be the bottom half of this without the part that covers the top of my head. I have seen the neoprene bottom half face masks, but i was wonder if anyone knows of one made of this spandex like material thats really breathable?

Any ideas, or should i just look for one of these and cut the top off :/

i have that same hood and cutting the top off wouldnt work, it wouldnt stay up.

A Ranger Joes type of store would probably have a couple to choose from. You don't want any polypro, neoprene, or wool fleece kinds, I'd say -- as far as breathability and heat goes. That's what most of them are, though, because most people get them to stay warm.

Have you tried searching ebay for a Kakashi mask? Granted I hate Naruto but the style of mask that Kakashi in it wears covers just the lower face. I got one custom made in red from there for a The Shadow type look and the material they use is stretchable and breathable.

The Under Armor Stuff works great. You can get different colors and weights for hot or cold. I have used them in the desert as well as artic. Only issue is that there is no nose vent which is the root of the fogging issue for goggles or shades.

Blackhawk also makes some good ones.

Truth I would Talk to Master Legend He has a mask that resembles a hood but has an opening in it to let out all that fur/hair that he has under his big (Looks like a mixing bowl to me) Helmet I wear a belaclava with an open face and an eye mask underneath it But thats just me
