| I am actually intending to develop my own version of a "batarang" before too long. It's on my "list" of things to do, mainly because boomerangs are a cliche of the particular style I want to embody ("googie").
My plan is to take a regular boomerang and coat it in glow in the dark yellow paint.
I'd like to add to your question here though -- what practical use could you make of these weapons in situations you'll actually encounter?
Part of why a "Megarang" isn't on the top of my list is I can't think of much to do with it, except maybe confuse people at night.
And it will take a lot of practice on the beach trying to get to where I can throw it and have it return to my hand... |

| As far as your question, another thing I've been thinking of is a version of Spider-man's web shooters that basically is a netgun. I'm wondering how small I could make the net and still have some kind of use for it. Also how to deal with the pain of repacking the net in the field after deploying it...
You could probably rig a pretty weak version of Cyclops' visor (I know it's not a gadget), by doing that thing where you turn a laser pointer into a burning laser, except using one of those high power ones intended to be used for pointing out constellations... then mounting one or two of them into some kind of visor apparatus involving a curved mirror and a flip up and down reflector thingie...
But that would be kinda dangerous and again, how could you use it?
Daredevil's billy club is an easy one, except for the part where it projects a line for you to swing on.
Cap's shield -- maybe. We've talked in other threads about what potential value that might or might not have.
Some of the Batmobile gadgets are doable. A book like "The Poor Man's James Bond" has ways to make smokescreens, ejection seats, oil slick devices, etc etc. |

| The only one from the list that I'm not sure about is the armbands. As I recall they actually project bolts of aimed lightening. I don't think that's actually possible with any degree to portability or accuracy. Wolverines claws inside the body won't work yet, but something mounted outside the body could.

1. Stun gloves, because you are never going to be able to shoot lightning from your hands legally. 2. Just no. Any type of explosive is going to get you in major trouble. 3. Also a quick way to end up in the slammer, because nothing spells aggravated assault with a deadly weapon like blade claws. 4. The only doable one out of the whole bunch, and even then, extremely situational. Unless you plan on using them as "calling cards". |

| Don't look at a comic book gadget and say "how can I make that?". Look at something in the real world and say "What can I make from that?"
You will get a lot further toward actually making something happen.

| Found a prototype manufacturer who can make the 30" diameter, 1/2" thick, polycarbonate dome shield I want. The catch? $2,000!!!!

| While that would make for a great and impressive shield, I'm sure, I'm also sure you could spend $2000 and get a lot more out of it. Citizen Prime's entire suit was only twice that. |

| Yeah. Two-grand is a tad out of my budget, especially for a single item. The CAD drawing alone was 25% of the price.
Speaking of Citizen-Prime, can anyone tell me what sort of gadgets he had? The reason I ask is because looking at the costume with some knowledge of leather and armor-making, i'm having a hard time figuring out where the $4000 went?
Keep in mind, I'm not doubting that he paid what he said he paid. You would not believe the RIDICULOUS markup some leather makers charge. We're talking 1000 to 2000% in some cases. Just ask anyone who owns Eddie Bauer leather seats.
It's just that I am wondering if he spent lots on tech or if he was unfortunate enough to run into the type of unscrupulous craftsperson mention above.

| I've never known Citizen Prime personally, though from what I understand some of the people on here have. From what I read he was actually occupied with charity and raising awareness types of things... so I would guess any gadgets he used were probably for show.

| squirrel girl´s nutbags? hahaha just kidding
I thing a lower intensity version of the shocker´s wristbands could work.
nightthrasher´s skateboard
harley quinn´s socker-punch gun!!!!!
a thor´s hammer using the same principle as in the shocker´s wristbands
what about condiment king´s gun....shooting chilli pepper water into a criminal´s eyes could work!!!
blankman´s techno nunchucks (really don´t know how they are called)
gas gun!
I have my own ideas for gadgets myself |
