If you want to know what I am talking about Watch Mysterymen The first time they show up in the movie they get their asses kicked all over the room and eventually had to be rescued by the hotshot Capt. Amazing who was just doing it for the cameras He didnt care about who was saved or who got hurt then they had to be rescued again from a group of thugs by the Sphinx He also trained them well

You must fight like the wolf pack not like the sick pack

In order for you to learn from my teachings I must first teach you how to learn

When you can balance a tack hammer on your head you can head off your foe with a balanced attack while hammering his face with your fist

When you're a minor and first starting out it's most appropriate for you to train to get into better shape and to study so that you will have skills applicable to your future plans. You could also consider things like what your name will be, costume, etc, and participate in charity work to get a sense of involvement without taking risks you aren't prepared for.

It won't do any good at all if you try to emulate Kick-Ass and get yourself into situations where you get hurt or killed. It's important for anyone of any age to do things within the limits of their abilities. This is because if you try to do more than you're ready for, then you just end up being a burden in a dangerous situation, which shouldn't be the goal of anyone aspiring to be a "superhero."

I don't mean to be discouraging, but you have plenty of time. Take the time now to get ready and figure out how to move foreward realistically. Trying to be a movie character is not the best plan, because movies are different than real life.

Mr. Furious: Okay, am I the only one who finds these sayings just a little bit formulaic? "If you want to push something down, you have to pull it up. If you want to go left, you have to go right." It's...
The Sphinx: Your temper is very quick, my friend. But until you learn to master your rage...
Mr. Furious: ...your rage will become your master? That's what you were going to say. Right? Right?
The Sphinx: Not necessarily.

Is there a way you and your family could come all the way over to Iqaluit? Its in Northern Canada Just below Greenland I could do some trainning with you but while its really warm out with the midnight sun shinning now I warn you starting winter in October you would start to feel really cold and you will be very likely to get frostbite I cant make it easy for you as I live in a very harsh enviroment We just had hurricane force winds last saturday that destroyed the smaller tent that we were using for the festival and almost lost the big top too You would be required to undertake alot and I mean alot of snow and ice clearing and alot of heavy lifting mostly ice and you must keep your back straight at all times so you dont injure yourself You will be partaking in fun stuff like community events at certain times of the year like christmas as well as The Alianait festival and Toonik Time Tell you what Ill do Ill make you a fair deal I am hosting a meet up June 18 - july 11 2011 in Iqaluit you see if your family can come and bring you and we will start from there If can make it You will have fun But If you cant make it Well maybe next time But all in all Good luck with your plan to help others

polarman, probably not the best idea to be inviting minors over.

and the test thing was the first thing that popped into my head too.

lotus, assuming that you are not someone trying to test us again or some troll messing with us, then you have alot to learn and you need to really think about why you are doing this, wanting to be like "kick-ass" is maybe the single worst reason you could ever do this.

this is dangerous stuff that could get you killed. this is not a game.

There is so many other things you could be doing to prepare before you go active. I'm not 'active' either, and I have WAY too much RLSH related stuff going on right now...

Prepare and calm down. You seem excited from your posts, they are very quick and short. There is nothing wrong with being excited just sometimes too much excitement can make you act with haste and not make safe decisions.

P.S. Kick-Ass was a very good film, I enjoyed it very much. Keep in mind though he almost got burned alive, shot, he was stabbed and he got beat up a lot. Also, he couldn't feel most of pain due to his surgical enhancements. I also left out he got hit by a car.

Helping people is great and you should do that. Often the best way to help people is to work as part of a group, as with charity or aid workers. Even if we're talking about a little girl missing, a group of people tend to have more success at searches.

Mainly I'm trying to tell you not to deliberately get into violent situations or fights. Even just carrying a stick, dressing like you're ready to fight, and then walking around at night in the wrong area could invite people to fight you.

As far as your costume issue, the first things I'd do if I were you would be to decide for sure on my name, colors, and (possible) symbol.

Lotus: Vous est Francais... learn La Canne, mon ami. Then, get a Cold Steel "City Stick" cane. Smile

Also, you have access to the world's best Savate maitres... but yeah, for weapons training, I always support learning how to use sticks, since they're the most readily available naturally occurring weapon int eh world. So la Canne/le Baton and Savate.
