I'm interested in any and all ideas for possible projects.

As some of you may know I make stuff mainly because I like to. If it's something I make because I feel inspired I generally throw it up on my site and sell it pretty cheap so I can get onto my next project as quickly as possible. I have lots of ideas of my own mind you, but I tend to get so lost in the jumble of those ideas that I'll start one project and never quite get around to finishing it in a reasonable time frame.

I have discovered however that if an idea comes from an outside source of inspiration it tends to help me focus a lot more. Soooo... feel free to throw out as many full and partial ideas as you like and it's possible that you may find it made real and for sale cheap on my site.

I work with leather a lot, but I am also starting to use metal and polycarbonate elements. I have some basic electrical skills and will be greatly improving those skills come august when I start college. I LOVE solving problems and finding lateral thought style solutions.

how about some sort of shock bracer that well, shocks someone if they try to grab your arm?

let see:

explosive muffins, but not with putting an explosive inside a muffin but make a recipe of explosive food than when heated or in contact with water get all explosive-ish

Im thinking of making a domino mask with eyebrows that get into diferent shapes to make me look sad, or angry, you know? like in the cartoons, when the character lift and eyebrow or put them on diagonal to look angry or mad.

what about a mask with actual eye globes that can move one way or the other to distract enemies...Im thinking making one myself but with 4 eyes for my EL ABEJORRO(the bumblebee) persona.

what about a baseball bat that transforms into a gun!!!! or into an actual bat with wings and fangs!!!!! the wings could have an edge to cut criminals or something.

a belt that transforms into a sword...I think you could do that by pulling a string inside severeal metal pieces that could work as the belt decorations then tightening the string to make it take on the shape of a sword. (man! if I just had resourses I´ll make the stuff myself!)

oooohhh what about some weapons disguised as fruit or food!!!! like a banana gun and a apple-bomb or a chicken-suriken...a pine apple with some adjustments could become a painapple: the doom fruit!!!!

or a expandable sugar kane for a candy themed superheroe (who wouldn´t fear THE CANDY MAN)

or a shell looking backpack for a turtle themed superheroe (BEWARE: Thunder-the terrific turtle)

or just make a line of animal themed weapons....for all those guys who cant get their animal spirits on check!!!!!

the possibilities are infinite gadgetastic-from one gadgeteer to another!!!!!

A retractable telescoping quarterstaff

Glowing eye port lenses (for masks)

Stun discs

A retractable Taser whip, or whip in general

oh...and a retractable Bola line snare

I had an idea for a legal weapon.

It's a fist sized cylinder of wood with two projections. One is a knob like projection, similar to the blunt end on a gladius sword. The other is a very wide, dull, protruding spike which can put pressure on nerves and joints without breaking skin.

Optionally, one can rubberize the handle for additional grip. Ideally made out of a durable wood, preferably varnished.

Add a keychain loop and it's a novelty keychain item. Legal.

I've seen similar items made out of metal, but they don't have the proposed knob and their spike is a lot longer, as well the shaft of the item is thicker.

So my idea is a variant of the self defense keychain.

What do you think the validity of this item could be?

I just watched Kick Ass on DVD and I wonder, what are those things called that Kick Ass has on his back that carry his batons? Of course, instead of carrying batons, it could carry other things, I don't know what. But since you work with leather I figure you can use your imagination.

Of course, a lot of electronics stuff would be interesting, but that stuff is expensive and requires a lot of know how. I should continue studying electronics...but where to start? I was thinking about buying a nerd kit sometime (google "nerd kit" to see what I mean).

The most important concept in electronics gets glazed over by 99% of the students as boring crap. "Simple resistor math" and voltage dividers get an 'oh, yeah' and the student moves on. If you study electronics, you really need to stay at this point until you understand 100% what is actually going on.

Many don't realize this, but EVERY ANALOG ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT IS A VOLTAGE DIVIDER.

There is also a direct relationship between voltage and velocity, current and mass, and resistance and acceleration. This can only be realized by working with all the above and carefully observing how they are alike.

I like the idea of shock bracers. Possibly charged by 9 volt batteries.

I would like to know how much it would cost to commission a set of ninja bracers without the hand protectors, just the forearm protectors with a "Rhino Lining/Line-X" type coating over the metal (preferably in red or black).

Thanks, Victim, I'll definitely keep that in mind. A while back I was following this book (I think that's it, only the copy I was reading didn't have ads) which, surprisingly, I think is better than the paper books I have.

I couldn't resist a thread called "Ideas Needed."

It seems that people are mostly pitching weapon concepts. So I thought that I would go in a different direction. Many RLSH hand out care packages to the homeless. What about some sort of all-purpose tool that could be included in those care packages? The Swiss Army Knife or Leatherman Tool for the homeless, if you will. I am not sure what all this device would do. Perhaps it could be used to open and heat cans of food. Maybe it could include self-grooming attachments, with things like nail clippers and hair trimmer. It might have a flashlight built in. And so on.
