Some people around here use it to make kites and kayaks. I'm more interested in Dyneema sailcloth, but have yet to find a local source for either.

I guess what i need to know is, is Kevlar Kevlar no matter where you buy it? Or are there different types of Kevlar to concider when interested in armor?

From my understanding there are different grades of kevlar that range from non-bullet resistance all the way up to the stuff we want to use. I have seen it advertised when looking for kevlar that some of the stuff I found though kevlar is not intended to be used for bullet resistancy. That is all I really have, you just have to be careful what you order. I say if in doubt contact the manufacturer and find out. The other thing to is if your ordering the bullet resistant type, the government is given your contact information and the details about your order. You may want to keep that in mind to. Dang patriot act screws up everything for us.
