Okay, so my brother and I were walking up on a hill near our house and we were heading back, when we saw something shiny in the bushes. My brother was ahead of me, and went to check it out, it turned out to just be a Capri Sun juice packet, but there was other trash all around the place, tossed in the bushes, and as we were picking it up, we found a box with assorted "items" in it. It was down in a shallow hole, so we proceeded to find several rocks that took both of us to move, and piled them up on it, that was the first thing that we thought to do. It is probably just some kids, not hardcore users, but still... this was only a few hundred yards from my house... Just thought I would share. Oh and this evening we saw a couple people up there and heard indignant voices

You should be weary of that area as a potential for drug use in the future, though now that you have seen to intercede those who may use it may never again. Still, it could be useful.

Many see picking up trash as not befitting of what we do. This is a very good reason why it never hurts. Good job.

If you are picking up trash, please watch out for remnants of mobile meth labs (AKA: Shake and Bake labs) Plastic bottles may be filled with extremely volitile and toxic materials.

I don't know how you feel about the police in your area, but this might be a perfect opportunity for you to make a positive contact by reporting this find to local authorities. You never know what could become of it.

Yeah the police around here don't seem to care about that at all, they all have "better" things too do (I don't know what though since my city is like, in the top 5 safest cities in the country or something like that). Besides, they don't like hauling their asses out of their patrol cars around here either, they barely will even walk up to your front door lol. It's not like they are "bad" cops in the sense that they are jerks or anything, they are just lazy as all hell... Well I take that back, a couple that I have met are jerks

I love the fact that you got to hear the "wails of misery" after you ruined their getting their next fix. May I ask what sort of drug paraphanilia it was? If only because I dont know how stupid someone would be to leave their stash of whatever in a public place.

Pill bottles, a butter knife (I assume for crushing the drugs up?) some other pieces of junk, I didn't really look through it a ton. And some things that I had no idea what they were for. But trust me, they were drug users, I go to school with some of them and one lives near me.

Like stuff for hard drug use... then yeah, you had all the rights in the world to smash them and leave the users in despair.

Just be careful when disposing of paraphernalia, if your fingerprints are on anything and it somehow winds up get sifted through by the po-po, then you could risk "framing" yourself. But then again, you did say that the police in your area are lazy.

When I first saw this thread I thought it said "Buying Drag paraphernalia"
