| but any recommendations for comfort in patrolling? I'm considering under armor, which is godlike in perfection, but does anyone have any recommendations for undergarments? |

| Don't worry about anything too complex, that's the best advice I can give ya. You can make a good costume out of things you have just lying around with a little time and creativity, heck my uniform is just a hoodie, a shirt from the rennisance fair, and some socks I cut into gloves. So if your on a budget like me, you may find that you already have your perfect costume just sitting in your closet. |

| i also wear two pair of socks all the time. long tube socks white the first pair and black ones on the outside.good extra cushion and prevents mosquito bites if not wearing boots. i really do this , i was joking about the underwear on the outside but as for under wear i suggest polyester ones . polyester underwear does not hold sweat and get sagging also preventing sweat rash.they also come in many designs like tiger stripes.i hate cotton underwear and that stupid slot in the front. |

Just remember to buy steel toe socks if you're going to use steel toe boots - the boots are sized assuming you'd use thicker socks. |

| yeah,I got a blister on my foot the other day from walking around in my boots the whole tim during comic con, that's really what prompted this. makes it extremely difficult to patrol when my foot is killing me like that. |

| Underarmor (or a cheaper knockoff brand) type underwear and socks work for me. As far as boot socks, I've worn white cotton socks under boots for years without any problem (some people complain of blisters and such when they do that, though). The Underarmor socks are better, but more expensive too.
If you're going to do a lot of walking in boots, one trick is to wear two pairs of socks and ensure you keep the boots laced very tight. Any ability to rub your skin is usually what causes blisters and/or soreness. For general soreness also make sure you have a good sole for the type of activity you're doing and maybe get one of those PolySorb type inserts (I only use those for running -- they're not cheap).
One other underwear tip from a lot of army guys when you do a super long walk (like a ruck march) is to go "commando" (free balling) -- I don't do that, but some people swear by it.
(EDIT -- so obvious I neglected to mention it at first -- make sure everything fits correctly. A lot of discomfort is a result of clothing [in general] being the wrong size) |

| I know it was mentioned in another thread but this seems like the perfect place to bring it up again: All male RLSH's should invest in a quality cup. No one feels "super" after a well-placed kick to the daddy-button. All you'll be able to do after that is writhe around in pain and think about all the kids you could have once had. |

| I saw champion gear at target today. anyone have any experiences with that? it's like 1/3rd of the price of under armor and feels exactly like it, even the layout of the tags are nearly identical. I just might be getting these instead... |
