Many have already stated this, but you are a role model whether you like it or not, so I think it would send a positive message if you didn't. You could even use your quitting story to inspire people to do quit other bad habits. Oh and yes, it decreases your athletic ability. Plus I find it kinda gross.

cancer sucks, just so you know. and lung cancer is a really bad way to go.

The fact that you're having to ask should tip you off.. I think you want to quit, but you're timid and need reassuring, but then again, I could be off in left field. With that in mind, I don't think anyone else on this site, Mega Rad included, will encourage you to keep smoking. However, just like being a rlsh, it's all up to personal preference but if you must smoke, please do so in good taste. Out of costume, away from children, and far away from flammable vapors. My two pennies.

The younger kids in school thought I was cool because I took them to parties where there were real-live girls... which, incidentally, was easier to do with more disposable income and better personal hygiene resulting from not smoking...

I smoked for about 12 years, and quit cold turkey. I had cravings for about a year, so that was difficult to get through. Once they stopped I was so glad I quit. I have no desire to pick them up ever again although I do have a very rare craving from time to time but it only lasts a few seconds or so.

I am so much better off because I quit. You should too and thanks for reading.

I smoke, not much but yeah I do smoke.

It doesn't really effect my endurance or anything, but thats probably because I train a lot.

I used to be so against smoking. I'd try so hard to get people to quit. Then one day I realized how over populated the earth is. If people are willing to weed themselves out, be my guest.
