That was awesome ML! I so wish you can come out and help with the big homeless mission in San Diego. I think it would be a real shot in the arm for us to have someone along with the drive and character to just go out there and help.

Course I would love if Symbiote and Meta came out too, I know Sym does an awesome job out there, and although I haven't gotten to know Meta yet, I have heard great things about her.

Why don't the shelters like video?
It should help promote what they're there for.

they make money off them homeless people and don't want people to know .i will expose all that.i was asked by many for just two bucks to stay there on the floor or they get kicked out . then the cops get them and make big bucks off them too.i promise i will reveal to the world this great evil i have talked of for years.if the world cares that is.
this is human trafficking in a form no one wants to see .i master legend will show how they are forced to panhandle to stay at this place( many more like it around the country)or the cops take them in where tax payers pay 150 $ a day to jail these people.its all an industry, there is no reason for this except a plan most of you can not see.do you see what I'm talking about? and at the shelter you can barely get some water and no food.

Yeah, I've heard of this before as well, I just haven't actually seen it first where a shelter and or police chase off good Samaritans like that. It is kinda what happens in India and Pakistan, the mentally retarded are sent to live at a shelter, but the shelter makes them panhandle all day to cover the expense of taking care of them, even though the shelters get money from the government (most of which gets pocketed). BTW, METADATA is hot!

The reason told TJ to leave the shelter is because A) it's probably against the rules to film there, and B) shelters are very strictly regulated about what they can hand out. There are health and safety guidelines they are required to follow if they want to stay open. They can't just have people coming in and passing out whatever they want. Especially if it is being documented on tape.

This is not meant as a knock to Team Justice or their methods, as I feel it is very important to make the effort they make in getting any kind of supplies into the hands of the people that need them. Just gotta remember that often times the shelters themselves can be victimized by the beaurocracy of the laws put in place to regulate them, and unfortunately sometimes that means enforcing those very same hand-tying regulations. Sadly, they do not have quite the freedom all of us do to operate as they see fit.

ML: Do you know if this shelter gets government funding? I know there are many that do not, which might explain why they unfortunately have to ask people to pay a fee to stay there. I don't know if that's the case at your particular shelter, but I know there are other places that have to do that.

Another thing about shelters not wanting to have film crews in is to protect the anonymity of the people who are living there. We help out a family shelter here in Minneapolis called People Serving People. Now they exist mainly on donations and are happy for us to bring food clothing and books to their security desk. The only thing they ask is no filming, as they put it, to protect the people staying there from being exploited.

Now I know they are serious about their reasoning. The place is well taken care of, we have had direct conversations with the administrator of the place, and even exchange e-mails with her on a semi regular basis. And we have talked to the people that stay there in the shelter and we have never heard a bad word about the way it is run. The people who stay there always tell us things like "Thank God we have these people to help us"

So yeah, I can understand that reasoning.
