My mom knows I do what I do, and the arnour as her idea. She does not yet know, however, that I plan on covering it all with a giant maple-leaf and a mask.

My fiance has always liked the fact that I help people out where I can, but always threatened bad things if she ever saw me in a "costume"...

Then the most fascinating thing happened. She actually caught on to the potential good that can be done and looked in to a few things for herself...

Had an interesting conversation about this, tried to work my way into telling my mom started with, "Hey mom, I've decided that I'm gonna sell my shop in two years a be fucking Batman."

She paused a minute and said, "You know other parents would question that, but I guess my sons gonna be batman."

Probably still won't tell her, but it definitely wasn't the response I expected, to the point I think she might already know now that I think about it...

Nah, not planning to tell them, but only because I don't really see it as any of their business.

My parents know already, and they're okay with it. But we live in a decent area, so that probably helps. Mostly property crime and taggers, and hardly any violent crime.
