Yeah, it's not steamlined or user friendly by any means, but you guys have made great strides towards that. I hope the Best of page helps.

I've been devoting a lot of time to other projects, one of which is my super-secret project that you'll all see in the next 45-60 days. However, I also want to spruce up The Oracle Project some, as there hasn't been much new information added to it in the last 30 days.

Any suggestions on information you'd like to see that isn't there or could be better organized, please let me know.

Thank you, Nite Watch.

I'll be adding more to TOP and eventually doing a page by page, link by link overhaul to get everything squared away.

However, I'm behind on my own info gathering and classes and way overdue to write up a big research report for a friend. So it might be awhile.

The good news is that any of you can join TOP and make edits you want to see all by yourself, no permission required.

I should be doing CERT in February -- I can add whatever they teach that seems relevant.

I added some hacking tools to the Computer Scuence page, and a few guides, as well as a new crime map and a crime mapping tool to the Criminal Investigations page.

Some of the newer folks may not have looked at the Oracle Project yet. It's a wiki designed to support the types of stuff we do. Sign up. Contribute.

Me and some of my friends have a modest goal of spending at least 15 minutes a week on it -- you know, slow and steady wins the race and all.

Whoever compiled the information on polycarbonate in combination with steel plate has my gratitude, I am most certainly making use of that information.

Has anyone considered copying the pages from the external links to a local page? I mean, what happens when a link dies?

Totally doable, and has been done in some cases. Some of the links provide far too much information to copy and paste, and link farms are generally more organized than an archive of full on articles.

That looks like an amazing tool. However, I wouldn't be surprised if the company that makes it only distributes to official LE agencies

It does look that way, although there's nothing in that program online research won't get you (for most big cities), except for maybe it being slightly more current. The data is just well processed and sorted.

So even if this one is only for cops, it's something that could be replicated, more or less.

Actually... when I held up much higher hopes for an HUD than I do now, I pictured being able to view info like this in real time.

It's still theoretically possible. Just not super easy.
