Yeah, if all she was doing was puking then most likely it was just too much alcohol. But if she was coming on to you in a way that's not how sober women do, then it'd be harder to figure out whether it was really too much alcohol or some ecstacy. But you did the right thing though.

Usually I'd think it'd be wrong to collect a reward for doing something good for someone - but - well, if she already made them... then by all means, you definetely don't want to let them go to waste.

Normally I would not accept a reward of any sort, but I'm a hometown hero in a small town. The people here come from a background of hard working poor immigrants so we actually have a rule here (I'm serious). You can only refuse an offer twice. The first refusal is automatic and expected. The second refusal shows you were raised right and are very polite. To refuse a third time is an insult to the person offering and brings shame to your mother. (I hear you laughing, but it's true.)

So I was forced to accept these delicious, homemade brownies, lest I bring eternal shame to my poor mother by making her look like she raised a barbarian.

Crap, now you have me feeling guilty over the brownies. I'm going to have to send the Pipsqueak of Panic over to your lair to drop you into a pit of mutant snakes.

TT should get a vertically challenged henchman. PoP would be a great name. Kinda like Mini Me

Henchmen are useless and never do the job right; if the job is worth doing, then I will take care of it myself. On the other hand, my 1 year old protege will serve the position quite well once he's old enough to operate the traps.

Alternatively, I would also accept the Czar of Creepy or Sultan of Scare for cognomens.

Silver Sentinel,

Sure I can talk all this shit over the internet about how you took the brownies, but in the end you're the one eating delicious brownies while I'm the one sitting here thinking "Damn, those must be some good brownies."

Tothian, yes. Fortunately it was just a case of too much alcohol, drunk too quickly. The blood test showed no signs of drugs. (I had expressed my concerns of roofies to Tothian during a phone conversation.) Our little mis-adventuress has recovered nicely and even baked me a box of brownies, which I will collect tomorrow.

Her mother was very grateful that it was me who found her daughter, as it turns out she and I had dated back in high school. Small town, don't you know.

Thats some funny stuff.

For the record, the brownies were delicious! I picked them up on my way to work. They were made with chunks of chocolate and walnuts.

However, back on topic: I live in a small town, so hiring a cab for the evening isn't unreasonable for the bars in town. They are located near one another and can spread the expense. Unfortunately it seems the bars have stopped doing this. Mainly because (as I understand it) people were refusing to take advantage of the offer. But now that I'm trying to round up volunteer car drop-off drivers, this might change.

I had to recruit a friend to drive folks home in his mini-van the other night. I wish I had kept my silver Windstar (NOW it would be the perfect vehicle!), instead of trading it in for a little red sports car.

I also should have expected some of the near violent protests we received when offering people rides home. Alcohol lowers inhibitions.. two of these inhibitions being the use of foul language and the ability to be grateful for someone offering you help. Still, I won't allow this to deter me from my course.

I hope this thread helps someone out there to try the same operation. Together, let's save some lives.

i have learned if someone wants to show you some appreciation you take it.a lot of times it hurts peoples feelings to refuse there gift of thanks.as for the main topic, if some drunks refuse your help atleast you know you tried to help them.if the situation looks real bad and you see a drunk person wanting to drive then snatch the keys and throw them on a rooftop.of course they will be mad but they never call the cops.

...Or instead of losing said person their keys, you could offer to drive them home.

Didn't your mother teach you not to accept rides from strangers?

If I'm drunk, do you think I'm going to care? And are you saying that the RLSH who wants to offer a ride out of the kindness of their heart is some sort of psychopath?

I was raised by my father, actually, and what he taught me was to crush my enemies, see them driven before me, and hear the lamentations of their women.
