I was talking to Shisa, and have been thinking for a while. I make it down to San Francisco with my gf for Gay Pride like every year. there are a lot of RLSH down south from me, so here's the question..... how many Cali locals or west coasters could or would go to SF during Gay Pride for a group patrol/RLSH meet-up? 8 and I are checking hotels right now for our upcoming trip anyways, and if we have to, we'll sleep on the beach again... no big. how about it guys? who's in?

I'll find out the dates asap, but 8 and I will most likely be down that way for at least two days anyways during the event. figured I'd try to make a second event... RLSHSF 2010 anybody?

anyways, this whole idea is based around two things.

1. I want to meet some RLSH

2. Gay Pride is a huge party situation. you guys may not know this, but I have gone for three years running so I'll fill you in. on "Pink Saturday" the streets are cordoned off, volunteer security and local law enforcement man the entry points. there are usually "spotters" on the roofs and tactical wagons about every two blocks or so about a block back from Castro. there is a huge mess made.

so here are the possiblilities; patrol "Pink Saturday" along the edges of the festivity.
maybe on Sunday thru the parade route and around City Hall. not sure about hand-out status due to funds, but patrtol is a definite, one way or another

if anybody else has input, it would be appreciated. the proposed site isn't my home turf. and have no idea as to real meet-up criteria. thanx

the parade is great too. last year I shook hands with Gavin Newsome the mayor of SF and saw Rip Taylor. the first year we went George Takei of Star Trek fame was a grand marshall. I guess essentially what we're going for here is a informal meet, hopefully it's a repeatable experience. who knows.

IMPORTANT; definitely not a kid event. if you have delicate sensibilities or "virgin eyes" do not come. the amount of flesh and vinyl/pleather/leather and latex could freak the average person out.

RLSHSF 2010- an event coinciding with San Francisco Gay Pride

This event is pretty much an informal meet and greet/opportunity to patrol together. It's June 26-27, though there is a chance that 8 and myself(Atavistik) will be arriving on Friday.

The events we want to work around are "Pink Saturday" and the LGTB Pride Parade the following day. Most likely catching the sights and doing our thing. Like I said, this is informal (hopefully the basis for an annual though, with a more RLSH Event criteria) but we are not ruling out possible hand-outs if we can swing it.

this pretty much covers it. I just wanted to give us Californians an opportunity to meet each other as well as anyone else who wants to come. hopefully we get some ideas to build a better meet next time. if it isn't obvious, I'm not normally the coordinating type, but we still have plenty of time to fine-tune the idea. I know 8 and I are stoked at the thought of meeting other "do-gooders".
