| If there was an actual organization that sponsors Superheroes by equipping individuals to be Real Life Superheroes, would you approve of the following qualifications? {2} ~ Only using Factory certified Equipment. |

| Would we have the ability to create our own products, get them manufactured, and thus certified? Or is the bar "I bought it"?
Because I own a company or two.. and it would be nice to invent. Either way I already use factory certified stuff already, by Nemo's definition. |

| I wouldn't mind because I like to keep it simple, BUT I would have problems if the company didn't allow for any creative leeway and I would rally against them simply because I don't like rights being taken away...which is how I would see that. |

| Nah. I mean, really... what about the gadgeteers out there, the ones who make stuff not just for themselves, but for other heroes? |

| I think that there should be a way to get your inventions certified by professionals. This way we have the option of buying our stuff and still modifying and inventing stuff. If this is how it works then I would say yes.
If not, then no. I agree with Raven, it would feel like having a right taken away. Putting restrictions on someone's creativity and freedom of choice is wrong. |

| it depends.
are the thresholds they are tested at within the scope of what we do? exceed them?
are the goggles ANSI?
clothing using nomex? kevlar?
because honestly, and this is no slam on anybody, i've seen gear that would be an upgrade on heroes if it came from something not purchased at a yardsale. yeah, we're all broke and trying to make due, but the quality of your gear can be the difference between life and death, plausibly. using listed equipment based on international standards of performance meens you know the abilites of your gear to stand up in certain conditions, and in the end, don't you WANT to be informed of that? seems like it would save a lot of homework.
now if some braniac can take the bull by the horns and make a better mousetrap and have consistant results, then cool-
because the goal should always to be better than yesterday if given the option. |

| I voted no, but I still think that someone should be checking over the person's equipment to make sure they're not carrying anything illegal. |

| I wouldn't be the type to sponsor anyone because they would always have you under their thumb. To them, it's about their portrayal of image, which may co-incide with yours. |

| What if your' favorite produce of batarangs is Alfred Pennyworth? Do you really want to put the extra stress on your' independent manufacturer? That would result in substandard workmanship due to the time constraints imposed by larger orders and more clients! |

| Well, so far the armor testing bill is over $300 and this is just the first round. The lives of RLSH are worth thorough testing. _________________ "Wearing spandex is not an instant qualifier to stay at my place." - Z

| I admire guys like Zimmer & The Eye who make their own gear, But I'm very "Soviet" with my equipment. I like existing proven gear. |

| I voted no because it would take away too much of the diversity we have if we could only choose from even 10 different styles of boots (For example) there would be too much cross over |

| Diversity and uniqueness among RLSH is great and all, but you shouldn't be inventing potentially dangerous equipment unless you know exactly what you're doing. The Eye's level of invention is pretty good and I commend the man on what he's done, but it seems juvenile compared to the work that Victim is doing on your behalf. Not to say that The Eye isn't a great inventor, it just seems as though his designs offer less in comparison to what Victim could do.
You should be investing in equipment that has been tested and approved, you don't need to be sponsored, but if you're going to do something dangerous, then why take the risk? |
