Best Star Trek Novel ever.

I'll look into it; to be perfectly honest, although I study the storylines outside of television and film continuity for a number of things, I dislike reading them as I don't find them to be stimulating enough. I'm not knocking on you as everyone has different tastes in the realm of reading and ANY reading is good for your brain, to be perfectly honest. Honestly? I'm a big fan of Shatner in almost any realm that he works in, from acting to, especially, his spoken word stuff. That song he did with Henry Rollins was epic, even if it is quite old now.

the reason I recomend it is because it was written by Shatner.

and was the greatest novel of all.

I read the Shat-Trek novel where he comes back as a borg. It was okay... he makes himself younger due to the Borg process.
Other than that I read two books of novelizations of the original show episodes. Found them at a used book store. I'll try to find them to scan the covers.. they are pretty cool.

I have to agree with SuperHero. Ashes of Eden was a good read. I used to read all the Trek books when I was in high school, but have read few since, but Ashes was really good.

@Ativ: i bet you didn't know Dee kelly was pres. of "the Hollywood badmans association." prior to being Dr.McCoy? He was a member of a group of elite actors who were steriotyped as Bad guys and only worked as bad guys. Usually in westerns. Kelly even played Doc Holiday in "Shoot out at the OK coral" with kirk Douglas, and turned in a much more frightening portrayal of Doc Holiday then val kilmer would ever be capable of.

I think later members of the group included
jack palance
Sid Haig
and Richard Lynch.

I am particularly fond of Mandalorians as well as the Klingons, so I cast a vote for both, but I must say Star Wars is a little ahead in the race for me.
